Knightsbridge is a mixed residential estate developed to demonstrate the effectiveness of smart utility systems within medium-density housing. The development consists of 20 units, including duplex homes and double-storey apartments, supported by smart-metered gas and water micro-grids. A private water supply system was introduced to address the absence of municipal water in the area, ensuring consistent access for residents while improving monitoring and control of distribution.
The project required the establishment of an independent water supply and gas distribution framework in an environment with limited municipal services. Balancing convenience, safety, and cost efficiency while delivering reliable utility infrastructure to multiple housing types presented a technical and operational challenge. The system also needed to support real-time monitoring and efficient billing for sustainable estate management.
Private Water Supply System: Ensures consistent access where municipal water is unavailable.
Smart Utility Infrastructure: Smart meters for both gas and water improve monitoring and management.
Integrated Home Utility Installations: LPG heating, gas cooking systems, and metering installed across all homes.
Micro-Grid Distribution: Centralized supply networks distribute utilities efficiently across the estate.
Operational Efficiency: Data-driven monitoring improves maintenance planning and consumption tracking.
